Livestream with Vladimir Vasiliev and Edmonds Dzhigurs.
Edmonds Dzhigurs:
- Special Unit Road Police and Security in Riga, Latvia
- Winner of cycling and car racing competitions
- Highly dedicated Systema practitioner, training under Mikhail Ryabko since 2012.
- Certified Systema Riga head instructor since 2017.
- A regular seminar host of Mikhail’s seminars in Riga and a God son of Mikhail.
Through his regular and keen training, Edmonds was able to capture some of Mikhail’s skill and internal power. In this connected seminar, Vladimir and Edmonds will spend 45 minutes sharing and teaching each of their personal insights on this topic.
You will study how joint locks really work and how to make sure they don’t work against you.
You will learn to feel when a joint is reaching its limit, how to position your arm or leg so it can’t be easily twisted or broken, and how to stay mobile and free even under strong pressure.
When the arm stays relaxed and alive, counters happen naturally. The tension created by a joint break can be transferred, re-distributed, and turned in to a counter.
Watch and practice the drills to build awareness, structure, and most importantly — spontaneous freedom in the joints.
Feel the limit and use it to your advantage.
LESSON NOTES are posted in the Zoom chat during the session.
Once your order has been processed, a generated email from the Online Store will inform you that a note has been added to your order. You can see the note in your “Order updates”. The note will contain the Zoom Meeting ID and password.
Class recording is not available for the participants. However, all sessions are professionally filmed and many of them are later edited and released as a downloadable film: https://systemavasiliev.com/product-category/downloadables/
Class time:
Saturday, March 21st at 11:00am – 12:30pm Toronto time

Thank you so much!!! These classes are VERY NEEDED reminders for me to stay soft and gentle and relax. Because of the volume of work even those words seem somewhere in a fog.

At the connected seminar, I learned that there are changes in pressure in my body. The order of Arend-sensei’s drills was very good and it was easy to feel the changes in pressure in my body. I realized during the seminar that I had been viewing tension as a single plane of movement. By gaining the perspective of pressure in the body, I learned that I can feel tension in three dimensions. In addition, I was able to feel the internal pressure in my calves, which I had not been able to feel before, and I learned that maintaining internal pressure makes it easier to maintain balance. It was very interesting to have both Arend-sensei and Vasiliev-sensei’s instruction on the same topic. I felt the diversity and understood the similarities. The zoom video feed was very easy to watch and the audio was easy to hear, even though the class was offered from two different locations. I am always grateful for the new insights I have about myself after each class.

I attended the Zoom class and just wanted to compliment the instructor, the content shared, and in particular; the camera work. It’s difficult to film a seminar or class and catch the details. Whoever ran the camera did an outstanding job. I felt you should know.

Thank you very much for your wonderful webinar the other day. When I think of training with knives, all I think about is what to do with the knife or what to do with the person holding the knife. My body and my thoughts were heavy and slow. Watching the webinar, I could see the men in the demo become lighter and more confident in their movements through the work with the knife. The lightness and sharpness of the knife seemed to transfer to the men in the demonstration. I look forward to the next webinar.

I would like to express my heartfelt thanks for the CONNECTED SEMINAR with Vladimir-sensei and Daniil-sensei. Once again, it was a deeply meaningful experience that offered not only physical insights, but spiritual and emotional ones as well. I sincerely appreciate the effort and wisdom that went into this session—from the teachings to the filming, and the welcoming atmosphere created by all participants.
