Dr. Meer Janjua MD is a classically trained medical doctor and a pioneering specialist in regenerative and performance medicine. He helps people regain proper structural alignment to self-heal and self-regulate by integrating the structure and function relationship into his work. Dr. Meer has also been a dedicated Systema practitioner since 2021.
In this film, Dr. Meer explains, in very simple and clear terms:
- that there are 3 planes of movement and 4 forces of compression in our bodies
- what ranges of movement exist in our joints and how they interplay during walking and other activities
- why the structure of our hips and pelvis dictates what happens in the rest of the body
- how to see misalignment in ourselves and our partners and the ways to fix it

Meer’s class was very useful. I got a lot of important knowledge about anatomy and kinesiology. He taught us about the three planes of movement, how changes in the torso affect movement of the extremities, and other matters necessary to understand the mechanisms of bodily functions. I think knowledge like this is essential for practicing Systema. In order to understand one’s own physical limitations and habits, basic knowledge of anatomy and kinesiology is necessary, and I think these were covered in an easy-to-understand manner. This class was a wonderful opportunity to gain new perspectives, insights, and ideas. Dr. Meer showed us his approach to improving posture, and I was impressed with his observation and analytical skills. The structure and progression of the lecture was excellent, and I was able to learn techniques to convey professional knowledge to others.
