I would like to express my deepest gratitude for the incredible Body Power Class. It was a truly enlightening experience that allowed me to deepen my understanding of Systema principles, particularly the power of breathing. Breathing has always been emphasized in Systema, but I must admit that I had not fully trusted its power until recently. Last month, when Adam-sensei visited Tokyo, I had the privilege of attending his extra class on the final day. It was during this session that I first truly experienced how breathing enables movement. Until then, I understood its importance in theory but had not fully embraced it in practice. During the class, when my partner grabbed me from the front, I focused on continuing my breathing, and I suddenly realized that my body could move as a result. This realization was a game-changer for me. Since that day, my awareness of breathing has shifted, and I can feel a significant improvement in the way my body moves. This Body Power Class served as a perfect review of that lesson. The exercises that integrated movement and breathing were incredibly valuable, and Adam-sensei’s guidance was clear and insightful. The emphasis on using breathing to avoid freezing, absorb tension, and move efficiently resonated deeply with me. I also appreciated how the class encouraged relaxation and lightness, even in moments of pressure or impact. Additionally, I want to extend my thanks to the camera team. The filming was excellent, allowing me to observe not only Adam-sensei’s movements but also the techniques demonstrated by other participants in the dojo. This made the learning experience even more enriching.
