We have created two inspirational plaques to remember Mikhail Ryabko, the legendary Systema master and founder. We continue to learn from his remarkable teachings and personality.

I wrote a poem titled “Faith, In the Endless Light” and dedicate it to Mikhail Ryabko, and all warriors who fight to transfigure the shadows of fear into faith and light. And I invite you to make this technique a powerful consideration in your martial art. When all seems lost and no ends in sight, Hold your faith through the shadows of night. Warriors, atop the mountain, do not need someone to fight. Their battle’s within—to hold faith—throughout the night. They ask: Young one’s, with fist clenched tight, how will you strike the dark? Faith’s the battle within, the courage, found in the unbreakable heart. Remember . . . Physical things alone, can’t make broken wings take flight. I say . . . Have faith in self, and others, our star’s have endless sight. Too many warriors find, when old age comes around. That what was once an enemy, now cannot be found. For the fear within the soul, needs faith to set us right: the faith that stands against, BUT, can enlighten up our night. For shadows walk in fear. Yet they are created by the light. If we’re wise we understand, a light exists—in every night. For darkness, in its pain, seeks a grander place to live. The true warrior understands: even a shadow wants to shine brighter than it is. And you within the valley, lost, seeking, sacred light, look up to the skies above, see your warriors in flight. They’re praying for you now. You are forever in their sight. They cry, “Hold on, hold on to your faith through endless night. It’s the only technique to transfigure your shadow into light. It’s the art within the soul giving rise to the endless light.”
