The first written records date Borscht back to the 16th century. The sour soup is deliciously rich and packed with nutrients.
Borscht has always been enjoyed by people of all ages and walks of life. It is known to be a cure for fevers and hangovers.

I am such a foodie. Any time I see something like this, I get totally inspired. The photos are great and the transitions are so smooth. Really professionally made. I am into it! So many vibrant colors in this dish, it is very visually pleasing and music that perfectly fits together makes it so esthetic to the ears. I would 100% prepare the borscht.

Борщ это русский суп в который добавили свёклу для цвета, убрав при этом квашеную капусту, потому что зимы теплее. Кстати, рюмка водки в щи при варке усиливает вкус. Русские щи бывают разные. Богатые щи на курице, простые на овощном бульоне, запечённые в русской печи. Именно по этому современные щи вкуснее через несколько дней, раньше они часами томились в тепле русской печи, а сейчас дображивают на холодной плите.

I recall eating Borscht when I was on the exchange to Russia/the former USSR in 1989 and when I visited there again, 2 years later. I think my friend’s mother made it for me, so it’ll be the first time in 30 years I will have eaten it when I make the recipe myself (it’ll have to be the vegetarian version this time, though!)

Я рада, что появилась Systema Cookbook! Потому что вкусное и полноценное питание это залог качественной тренировки. Хорошо покушал – есть силы тренироваться! Борщ – особенно хорошее блюдо в этом случае! Мой муж очень часто ест борщ перед тренировкой. После него легко тренироваться, нет тяжести в желудке, а есть силы и энергия. Мне нравится, что в Systema Cookbook очень подробный рецепт с подсказками. Надеюсь увидеть такие же рецепты и других блюд, которые будут полезны для true warriors!

And Ive tried making borsch twice now – its turned out great each time! I think Ill need some more practice to master spyrniki, but my first attempt still tasted delicious! Thanks again for everything – God Bless!
