In this 2-hour Connected Seminar, Vladimir will be joining from Systema HQ Toronto and Daniil from Systema HQ Moscow.

The training sessions will include the fundamentals of Systema, understanding movement, working with obvious and subtle tension, preparation for strikes, and more.

Your questions are welcome.
LESSON NOTES are posted in the Zoom chat during the session.

Thank you so much!!! These classes are VERY NEEDED reminders for me to stay soft and gentle and relax. Because of the volume of work even those words seem somewhere in a fog.

At the connected seminar, I learned that there are changes in pressure in my body. The order of Arend-sensei’s drills was very good and it was easy to feel the changes in pressure in my body. I realized during the seminar that I had been viewing tension as a single plane of movement. By gaining the perspective of pressure in the body, I learned that I can feel tension in three dimensions. In addition, I was able to feel the internal pressure in my calves, which I had not been able to feel before, and I learned that maintaining internal pressure makes it easier to maintain balance. It was very interesting to have both Arend-sensei and Vasiliev-sensei’s instruction on the same topic. I felt the diversity and understood the similarities. The zoom video feed was very easy to watch and the audio was easy to hear, even though the class was offered from two different locations. I am always grateful for the new insights I have about myself after each class.

I attended the Zoom class and just wanted to compliment the instructor, the content shared, and in particular; the camera work. It’s difficult to film a seminar or class and catch the details. Whoever ran the camera did an outstanding job. I felt you should know.

Thank you very much for your wonderful webinar the other day. When I think of training with knives, all I think about is what to do with the knife or what to do with the person holding the knife. My body and my thoughts were heavy and slow. Watching the webinar, I could see the men in the demo become lighter and more confident in their movements through the work with the knife. The lightness and sharpness of the knife seemed to transfer to the men in the demonstration. I look forward to the next webinar.
