One Saturday, I was walking along a nearby beach and 2 guys pulled a knife on me and asked for my wallet. I remembered some of the movements of Systema knife fighting that I saw Vladimir teach and even though I was scared, I decided to try it. You won’t believe how easy it was. I used the wallet to remove the knife from one of the guy’s hands and used another of the hand-to-hand movement from Systema to take him down. The other guy saw what was happening and took off. The guy on the ground… I kicked his ribs and said to him: “I’m taking this knife as a souvenir.” So I’m here today alive to thank you for allowing me to watch your classes and learn something which saved my life.

I guess the highest form of giving is teaching. The good teacher wants the students to get the best he has to offer. Vladimir’s teachings far exceed others I have seen. No one else is offering real knife fighting and defence techniques broken down and easy to understand. I’m absolutely fascinated by everything I see.
