Strikes preparation without a partner is a very different and profound type of training.
The two fundamentals of delivering and taking strikes are strong and adaptable body structure and psyche.
In this film, Vladimir teaches you to connect your fists to your body and to your internal power and stamina.
He takes you though the practical drills that you can easily practice solo:
– Audible breathing to exhale tension and control your ability to vocalize in a conflict
– Sharp mid-range transitions to replicate a punch impact
– Strike-like-you-walk, where tension in the fist can feel the same as in the feet during walking
– Developing rotated punches
– Tension-free pushes and precise strikes
– Moving through tension and discomfort to reveal what prevents you from hitting hard
Running time: 45 minutes

Great solo drills in this video! I tried the ones of falling onto the fists from the knees while tensing up various body segments and then onto different surfaces and at different speeds. What a good way to build strength and control! I also like the simple tips on forming a fist. Thank you, Vladimir.

In this video, Vladimir shows multiple drills how to develop the sensation of effective strikes.
Not only these drills are for strikes, but also they will help the body to feel the power of relaxation.

Fantastic! Special thanks to all involved. I have always gotten so much out of Vladimir’s work in seminars and videos over the years. These zoom classes have been a whole new special insight into the components that makes the work happen. “Genius in simplicity” is the idea that keeps coming to my mind. This has been a blessing, a deeper insight and has brought me much more confidence. I feel deeply grateful and inspired. And I know I am not alone. Please don’t stop!

Fantastic video. Vladmir presents a variety of simple yet profound drills for preparing the body and fists for delivering relaxed strikes. Having been away from class for almost 9 months due to the pandemic, this reminded me so much of training in person with Vladimir. After one run through with the video, my body feels strong yet soft 🙂
