In this class, I learned a lot from Adam’s explanation about the different types of whips and how to use them. I understood that it is very important that the person who uses the whip himself is not tensioned. It was interesting to learn that the whip can be used to move and relieve tension in the body. I had never learned how to effectively use various parts of the whip, such as the straps, and I would like to utilize them in my daily practice. I learned that placing the whip on the body makes it easier to notice tension in body parts, which I will try to do every day. I realized that in order to use the whip effectively, one must be able to look for tension. I thought it was important to look for my own tension and analyze what is causing it.
